Tantra is a big word, unfortunately, in the west it has been misused – a lot of people think it’s only about sex. It is only a small percentage – and at the same time its everything around sexuality but it’s about understanding what the word sex means in tantra?
It’s a magnetic pull, the bee that pollens the flowers,
the inhale the exhale, the masculine and the feminine.
Tantra is – Full awareness and presence in the here and now – NOT drifting off into the past or the future, trying to control life. We live in a fast paced reality where finding time to slow down is hard but when we run and don’t let our body and mind rest – we suffer.
We wake up with a depression feeling lost.
We are scrolling on our phone trying to stop feeling lonely.
We are being intimate though we are not really turned on.
We over eat, do drugs or excessively work out to fills us up so there is no room for feelings.
IF we make the time to implement making love to life – stop hurrying – we go from surviving to living. So, Tantra is making love with everything in a sacred way – so when you are:
Washing the Dises – You feel the water on your skin – rather than hurrying through it and disliking the task.
When you are waiting – You ask yourself how our body are feeling and enjoy the small brake – rather than being annoyed.
When you Being intimate – you enjoying the now and the journey – Rather than pacing for more and is left with the feeling of numbness.
When you are out in the world – you play and have fun – rather than caring about what people think about you.
This is why I am a Tantric Sexologist – I help clients slow down, feel safe in their body and listen to its needs, finding the answers and acceptance they need to be able to set boundaries and relate consciously. Making it possible to make love to life again, as we once could.
That’s my answer.
